XalMeds in its first application attempt as a newly launched startup late September was chosen as one of the top 12 Finalist Startup to pitch in Arise 2020 Startup Pitching Challenge presented by Startup Village and sponsored by Ongpin Angel Investment Corp. as one highlights of the premier startup event in the country, the annual PH Startup Weekend virtual edition last November 23, 2020 organized by DOST, DTI, DICT and QBO.
Out of over 200 applicants, XalMeds is one of the chosen startup to grace the event and successfully got the interest of angel investors for its investment amount ask. This just validates XalMeds value proposition relevance and viability as a business model in owning up and building the medicine subscription service in the Philippines as a new complementary support service to professionals and their patients and the community in general of untreated who fail to comply on their multiple maintenance medications thereby complicating conditions to more morbidities, preventable hospitalizations and untimely mortalities especially the vulnerable elderlies and chronically ill who have mobilities and access problem.
